OVERALL OBJECTIVE AND PURPOSE
Position specializes in managing bids and may at times, manage more than one at a time. As schedules and workloads allow, the Proposal Manager may get involved prior to RFP-Release to assist with pre-RFP work. Proposal Manager guides the Account Team and writers through the proposal process and provides just-in-time proposal process training to the team as necessary.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Individually manages small to medium sized proposals. May individually manage larger proposal projects.
o Proposal Management duties include, but are not limited to the following:
 Developing assignment plans in accordance with the RFP
 Assigning proposal sections to the applicable writer(s)/resource(s)
 Creating and managing applicable schedule/proposal timeline for each project
 Gathering and managing questions on behalf of GTECH to ask to the Lottery regarding an RFP
 Holding and facilitating meetings to coordinate all facets of a proposal across various disciplines within the company
 Managing proposal draft reviews
 Coordinating proposal production with the Production Team

• Candidate must possess extensive knowledge of principles, best practices, and processes in the Proposal Discipline, and know which principles, best practices and processes to apply given the situation.
o Collaborates with Bid Manager for customizations on solutions to fit various problems.
• Analyzes customer requirements as relayed through requests for proposals (RFPs) within area of specialization and other writing assignments, and guides proposal content accordingly.
o Researches and writes proposals sections, and other materials geared toward obtaining new business and retaining existing business
o Has assumed on-going section responsibility for multiple disciplines and is recognized as the internal resource for information about the disciplines
o Consistently manages multiple and more complex section assignments in a professional, timely, technically accurate manner
• Ensures that all work adheres to department’s performance standards
• Continues to work effectively and cooperatively with all members of Business Communications team
• Upon satisfactory performance of duties may be considered for Bid Manager position depending upon individual goals and capabilities and department needs.
Job Requirements EDUCATION

 Minimum education
BA/BS or the equivalent

 Years Experience
minimum of five years of sales/marketing writing or the equivalent related experience, particularly that gained from tenure in the Business Communications Department.
