Job Description

Basic Function
In this role the individual will work with business users to identify needs, conceptualize solutions, define requirements, and perform detailed systems analysis of the solution. Responsible for creating solutions that support the current applications and future defined strategic direction, driving enhancements across system and application controls. The primary focus of the role is supporting GTECH’s Documentum 6.5 system however this individual will be a subject matter expert in the area of Content Management. The job is responsible to deliver strong customer service, assess process, manage controls, establish new controls and enhancements to efficiently manage company content and maintain compliance. GTECH is seeking creative solutions to content management challenges and the scope of content management may extend to a broader class of internal systems in the future. The role is to consider alternate solutions beyond Documentum. The individual is expected to bring a depth of administration experience as well as the analytical, technical and organizational skills. The position includes daily system administrative duties required to maintain system and application operation.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Maintain integrity and security of servers and systems as well as documentation to evidence sound controls
• Assists with Documentum installs, planning, testing, scheduling, interfaces, configuration of system files and services, upgrades and maintenance as required
• Serves as a subject matter expert on system processes and procedures
• Provide management recommendations regarding hardware and systems software use, planning and purchase. Participates in platform and application analysis, research, sizing, tactical and strategic recommendations
• Identify and drive areas of system and operational enhancement
• Streamlining and improving daily operations support
• Automate or improve existing systems, maintaining applications to support client facing activities
• Formulate and drive process improvements – driving and executing content cleanup and controls enhancement with information life cycle focus
• Manage day-to-day activities required in the Documentum landscape to ensure system availability and optimal system performance. Administration includes but not limited to; maintain jobs, user maintenance, group maintenance, permission maintenance, creating ACL’s, folder reassignment and cleanup activities, system checks, helpdesk calls
• Administer Security profiles in Documentum/Security Administration
• Maintain and monitor procedures for performing data backups and recoveries
• Maintain and monitor inventory documents for hardware, software and maintenance contracts
• Liaison to internal support teams and external vendors
• Demonstrates leadership in assisting with the trouble-shooting and resolutions to application, system and end-user issues
• End user training
• Assess dependencies across platform; application software, OS, DB, and hardware
• Other duties and responsibilities as required
Job Requirements
Position Requirements:
• A college degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of content management related support
• Mid to Senior level experience and expertise with Documentum administration. Recurring administration is expected to require approximately 50% of work role. Adhoc support, project demands and system enhancements will drive the balance of work.
• Working knowledge of Documentum products and platform; Content server, Webtop, Captiva InputAccel, eConnector.
• Support background with Webpublisher and eRoom is a plus
• Strong understanding of Documentum Web Content Management application tools and process
• Strong client relationship, communication and analytical skills
• Strong non-technical communication and problem solving skills related to content management. Individual will act as a liaison between the business community and internal IT organization
• Experience with HP platform; HP-UX and Oracle DB considered a plus
• Experience with ERP system integration (SAP R/3) considered a plus
• Working knowledge of DQL and Documentum development skills is a plus
• Familiarity with CYA SmartRecovery backup and recovery solution a plus
• On call rotation to provide 24/7 production support.
